We are looking for a motivated, trustworthy and reliable Field Operations Support Specialist who is eager to learn and grow with our company.
Based in Breslau, Ontario and reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will provide a wide range of support to our field operations team.
You will receive, inventory, prepare, refurbish, and deploy commercial laundry equipment, parts, and payment systems to locations across Ontario. You will be required to drive a company vehicle to customer locations to collect coins and data from our laundry machines, perform dryer vent cleaning and assist with equipment installations. You will accurately process coin in a secure, audited environment. You may also assist with light construction or other duties to support the growth and efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, test and prepare machines and related materials, and assist with installations
- Perform shipping/receiving duties of laundry equipment and parts, including loading and unloading trucks
- Manage our inventory of machines and parts
- Assist with various shop-related activities e.g., organizing and maintaining the shop, pulling parts, ordering/purchasing supplies, light construction work when needed
- Collect and process coins from laundry machines as scheduled with 100% accuracy and within set deadlines
- Accurately and legibly record coin machine counter readings
- Assist with coin processing in our secure facility
- Conduct dryer vent cleaning in central laundry rooms, apartment units and laundromats
- Always adhere to company policies and safety regulations
- Maintain an excellent driving record and follow company vehicle maintenance guidelines
- Participate in training as required
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required
Requirements & Competencies
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- 1-3 years of experience working in an operations/field service role
- Forklift operating experience and certification is an asset
- Good verbal/written communication skills
- Positive, customer-centric attitude with an eagerness to interact directly with customers
- Quick learner with attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Practical and hands-on, with strong mechanical / technical aptitude and knowledge of using basic tools
- Must be well organized and able to keep track of many details in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid G license with a clean driver’s abstract, and the flexibility and desire to travel daily to various sites
- Able to pass a police background check
- Willing to work some evenings and weekends, with occasional overnight travel
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including solid Excel skills and a keen technological aptitude
- Prior experience in security and/or cash handling is an asset, but we are willing to train for the right candidate
Pay Range: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience and certifications.
