We are always looking for talented Service Technicians located across Ontario.
Our Service Technicians install, repair, troubleshoot, and conduct preventative maintenance on commercial laundry equipment and payment systems at locations across your defined territory. The role requires you to utilize your industry knowledge and experience to service complex equipment while providing exceptional customer service to our internal and external partners. Our technicians are also key in helping to build our customer base by leveraging and building your relationships and our brand in the field. A company vehicle will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to service and/or emergency calls as required
- Consult customers directly and/or refer to service requests to understand the nature of the equipment malfunction
- Diagnose faults, analyze issues, and refer to schematic diagrams to repair and/or replace equipment
- Track and report service call outcomes
- Perform planned preventative equipment maintenance and vent cleaning
- Evaluate and advise of any upgrades required in laundry rooms
- Prepare machines for field installation
- Uncover opportunities with new clients and offer additional services to existing clients by leveraging and building relationships
- Recommend and implement measures to improve service processes, working conditions, equipment performance, and quality of service to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Partner effectively with other service team members, office staff and the leadership team by maintaining communication via phone, in-person, and email
- Always adhere to company policies and safety regulations
- Participate in training as required
- Manage and maintain company assets e.g. vehicle, mobile device, parts, uniform, etc.
- May be required for weekend ‘on call’ and after hour standby coverage
Requirements & Competencies
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Valid Gas Fitter G2 License
- Possess at least two solid years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge and/or training
- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, with experience dealing directly with customers
- Able to proactively identify, diagnose and solve problems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines and work within time constraints in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently and to collaborate with a team
- Self motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to manage conflict while being empathetic and helpful
- Flexible and able to work in a changing environment
- Must have your own tools
- Must have a valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the willingness and flexibility to travel daily to various sites
- Maintain excellent driving and Worker’s Comp safety records
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly
- Willing to work overtime and weekends when needed
- Prior washer/dryer repair experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of local area cities and streets is desirable
Pay Range: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience and licenses.
